What Is Accent Coaching?
Accent coaching is a professional development service for adults who want to refine
their spoken English communication. It is chosen voluntarily, driven entirely by your
goals, and designed around your specific needs.
Having an accent is not a problem. Every speaker of every language has one. Accent
coaching is for professionals who have decided — for their own reasons — that they
want to communicate differently: with greater clarity, stronger presence, or more
confidence in specific professional contexts.
CSLOT’s coaches are ASHA-certified speech-language pathologists with advanced
training in phonology, prosody, and communication science. This is the clinical
expertise that separates our program from general accent coaches, tutors, or app-
based products.

How the Program Works
Every client begins with an evaluation. From there, your coach builds a program around your goals.

Free Consultation:
A brief introductory conversation to understand your goals and determine whether our program is the right fit.

Assessment:
Your coach conducts a detailed evaluation of your speech: sounds, rate, phrasing, emphasis, and connected speech patterns. This is the diagnostic foundation that makes the program precise rather than generic.

Individualized Coaching Program:
Weekly one-on-one telehealth sessions with your assigned coach. Programs typically run 8–12 weeks, though duration is tailored to your goals. Each session targets the specific sounds, patterns, and contexts most relevant to you — from individual sounds to presentation delivery to conversational fluency.

Ongoing Practice and Progress:
Between sessions, your coach provides targeted practice materials. Progress is tracked and the program adjusts as your skills develop. You own the pace.

Coaching Via Telehealth
All CSLOT accent coaching sessions are delivered via telehealth. For this type of work, the research supports it: speech and communication coaching translates
exceptionally well to video, and most clients find the flexibility of remote sessions an advantage rather than a compromise.
What you need: a device with a camera and microphone, a quiet space, and an internet connection. Your coach handles the rest.
